ADOPTION OF AMENDED CONSTITUTION
 The Special General Meeting (SGM) was held on 16 April 2009 for the Corporate Members of SAIMechE to consider an amended Constitution and to vote on its adoption. The SGM was well attended, and the number of proxy votes received by far exceeded expectations.
With a majority vote in favour of the amended Constitution, the motion to adopt this amended constitution was thus carried.

LOOMING WATER CRISIS
 Recently published articles have exposed the serious state of collapse of the water systems in SA.
We believe that this matter must receive the urgent attention of the government, the scientific community, the built environment bodies and the public.
