Standard of Professional Competency key to development

Driving the strategic objectives of SAIMechE is a commitment to the professional competencies described in its Standard of Professional Competency (SPC).

SAIMechE’s SPC adopts the eleven learning outcomes described in the Engineering Council of South Africa’s various competency standards for professional registration. In doing so, the Institution endorses the standard as the complete description of competencies expected of the "professional”. Read more...

SAIMechE short course events are designed to satisfy the ongoing development needs of practicing professionals, both as delegates and event presenters.
