Topic: Gas management systems - Purpose, design and standards

Gas management systems in hospitals are a crucial component in the patient care cycle. Without a functional, safe and reliable gas management system a hospital cannot exist.  The importance of these systems will be covered in the presentation through the following chapters:

1. Basics:  purpose and use, expectations and safety, efficiency and future proofing, system components
2. Standards: definition, history, highlights.
3. Design: central supply systems, distribution systems, shut off valves, terminal units, alarm systems, testing and certification.

The technical talk will be delivered by Mr Devon Marks, Business Developer for  Gas Management Systems at Dräger South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
